Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled green peas

  • 1/2 cup Jowar flour

  • 1/2 cup rice flour

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

  • Salt to taste

  • Chopped coriander leaves (optional)

  • Ghee or oil for cooking

Preparation

  1.  In a mixing bowl, mash boiled peas using a fork.

  2. Add chopped onion, green chilli, grated ginger, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and chopped coriander leaves to the mashed peas. Mix well.

  3. Gradually, add the flour to the mixture and knead it into a soft dough with the required water.

  4. Divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls.

  5. Take one dough ball and roll it into a small circle.

  6. Bring the edges of the dough together and seal it, then gently flatten it with your palms.

  7. Roll out the stuffed dough ball into a paratha of desired thickness.

  8. Heat a tawa or skillet over medium heat and place the rolled paratha on it.

  9. Cook for a minute or two, flip the paratha and cook the other side.

  10. Spread ghee or oil on both sides of the paratha and cook until golden brown spots appear.

  11. Remove from heat and serve hot with yoghurt, pickle, or any chutney.
